Some releases add a button. Flashbag 0.2.0 changes the rhythm of working with your agents. You can speak instead of type, change the model or reasoning level without breaking your flow, and rely on Codex with far better continuity and live feedback.

01

Talk to Flashbag instead of typing

Voice dictation is now built into the desktop app and works through HTTPS Remote access too. Download either a local English model or a multilingual model, then watch your words appear as a live text preview before you send them.

Once the speech model is installed, dictation works offline. Your voice does not need to become another cloud dependency just to turn a thought into a prompt.

02

Switch models while the conversation is happening

You no longer need to leave chat, open the Agents page, change a setting, and come back. Flashbag now lets you switch the active model and reasoning level directly in the conversation.

That means a single agent can move from a quick everyday answer to a deeper, more deliberate piece of work without interrupting the context it already has.

03

Claude Fable 5.1 joins the model picker

Claude Fable 5.1 is now available alongside the other supported models. New agents prefer GPT-5.6-Sol whenever Codex is available, while Claude-only installations continue with Claude Opus 5 as their default.

Flashbag still treats the model as infrastructure, not identity. Your agent keeps its role, memory, instructions, and working context when you change what powers it.

04

Codex feels faster, steadier, and more alive

Codex support received a substantial upgrade. Conversations now continue more reliably, replies and tool activity appear live, and usage reporting is more accurate.

A new Fast mode can deliver responses 1.5 times faster while using 2.5 times as many ChatGPT credits. Flashbag makes that tradeoff visible so you can choose speed when it is actually worth it.

05

One clearer view across all your Profiles

The Dashboard can now switch between the selected Profile and all Profiles, and it remembers the view you chose. Gordon's usage belongs to the Default Profile instead of being repeated across every Profile.

Profile creation now sits directly under the Profile list, while the Dashboard header keeps the current Profile and its management actions close at hand.

06

The rest of the update

  • Expired Claude Code or Codex sessions now offer a direct sign-in and connection check.
  • HTTPS Remote access activates automatically when a Tailscale certificate is available.
  • Tasks started by Gordon now keep running until they finish.
  • Agent avatars selected from local image files now render in browser sessions.
  • Flashbag for macOS now requires macOS 15.5 or newer.

Flashbag 0.2.0 is available now.
